Liverpool could be willing to pay Emre Can £100,000 a week until 2021

The Liverpool midfielder looks to be closing in on a new deal at Anfield.

According to an exclusive report from Tutto Mercato Web, Liverpool are ready to offer midfielder Emre Can a new contract until the summer of 2021, with a weekly wage of £100,000.

The report claims that Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are now stepping back with the German set to commit his long-term future to Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Can’s current deal has just a year left to run and there had been doubts regarding his situation.  But having seen a resurgence under Klopp, it is no surprise that Liverpool appear to be giving the player what he wants.

The 23-year-old has featured 129 times for Liverpool to date, including 40 times last season, and he will be vitally important as the Reds mount a challenge on four fronts next time round, including the Champions League.

Liverpool are likely to be busy in the transfer market signing the players that can take them to the next level.

However it was also important to secure the long-term future of the German international and Klopp will be hoping he puts pen to paper sooner rather than later.

He can then look ahead to signing the players Liverpool need with a new striker, a left-back and a centre-back likely to be high on his agenda.

Liverpool have to contend with a Champions League qualifier later this summer so Klopp will want all his new additions bedded in long before that match.

From a reported £30k a week to £100k is just madness. Can improved towards the end of the season but for 2/3rds he was worse than woeful.

We should offer him £60k, ffs that is a 100% increase. On last seasons performance on the whole IMO he doesn’t even deserve that.

  • Pierre Levert

    Dear Jurgen,
    A very happy birthday ,

  • RedNeve

Wow! Koeman doesn’t piss about. £50m in a day

    • Pierre Levert

I really that we are not in a situation of having to sell ~ Sakho etc before we can buy, surely not!
Here is a chance to get Aubameyang, these opportunities don’t come around often.

      • RedNeve

I’d be mortified if we are Pierre.

        • Pierre Levert

Me too, I understand those who say the window hasn’t even opened yet, but it would still be good to see some positive action.

  • Ander Herrera The ScumDick

Wow why not stick in £250,000 tutto tutti?

Seriously, i would be more interested to know how much Joe Bloggs earns a week not playing football.

  • RedNeve

I finally calm down after my Manc Tourette’s outburst and my missus tells me “We’re going to see Bananarama”

Only signing Mbappe will help that
    😔🔫

    • Ian96

Wow, good luck with that one mate, though the lead singer used to have big bouncing baps. Alas, at her age they probably bounce no more,………. Sighs,😀

      • RedNeve

        Hahahaha
Not the kind of thing you say to the missus tho mate.
“Yeah she’s big bouncing baps” 😂

        • Ian96

          The bouncier the better😐

  • jolive

With Juve circling, getting this done will raise a few eyebrows

  • gegenpressing

I think that this would probably be our most important deal of the window (yet i know how much we still need…

  • Riiseandshine

Give him 200,000 just get him signed

    • Ander Herrera The ScumDick

I wish you are my boss, i asked for 1,000,000 rupees last week

      • Riiseandshine

  • RedNeve

      • RedNeve

        Hahahaha 😂😂

    • Ian96

      Haha, 😂

    • SirLEoAnfieldHeart

if it was Liverpool, our fans would be saying, we signed a overpriced, untested cb from a poor league and now want to sign a Madrid reject, surely Liverpool is better than that.

      • Ian96

        Well said

        • SirLEoAnfieldHeart

Cue the list of unrealistic targets
          1. CB–Ramos/Varane
          2. st: Lewandowski/Mbappe/

          • Ian96

            3, my granny.
As is well documented on here she is a great goalie, even her wheelchair doesn’t hinder her.

          • Pierre Levert

Looks like she will have to give Danny Ward a clip around the ear to send him on his way then……

          • Ian96

            Looking like that way mate.
Anyway my mate hows it going over in France?

          • Pierre Levert

Back and to to the tip mate, removal van due 14 th August, just winding things down now Ian, bloody hot though 33°, and rising………

          • Ian96

Wow, that is not. It’s about 18 over here and cloudy. Good luck with the removals mate.

          • Pierre Levert

Could still be back in July for a week or two to help our son Neil move house, he is waiting for his removal date.

          • Ian96

Ok mate, give me a shout when you are back over.

          • Brighton Red

have you heard Auba’s move to PSG is off and he’s available ~ would love it if in the next couple of days we didn’t hear a peep then had a press announcement on Monday to say he’d signed ~ ok ok I’ll dream on ……………………………….

          • Pierre Levert

Now that would be something, and, you have to have a dream, Klopp signed him,( no he stole him), once , PEA signing for us would put any other deal done this year well and truly in the shade.

          • Brighton Red

don’t know why but I’ve always felt this move was a possibility, for me it’s the one that would prove FSG are behind the manager, especially if they get VVD as well without selling our top players.

          • Pierre Levert

Let’s keep our fingers crossed then.

          • Ian96

Vvd is not coming but auyby

          • Brighton Red

don’t think VVD is dead yet especially now Puel has gone ( unless we sign another top class CB of course ) and who knows with Auba, can just see him leading the line ~ the missing piece in Klopp’s jigsaw for me and has been from day 1.

          • Ian96

His signature is dead in the water mate. We tapped him up, got found out and withdrew. If we go for him again Soton will reignite their appeal to the premier league. We have no choice but to walk away. We blew it mate.

          • Brighton Red

but if Tuchel wants to rebuild and needs funds, and VVD puts in a transfer request maybe, just maybe, Southampton will ‘ reluctantly ‘ listen to offers ~ especially as they are trying to sign the promising young 21 year old CB from Lech Poznan as per the Southern Daily Echo ( saints local paper ). Wouldn’t surprise me at all if he’s our player next year, on the other hand you could be right and Tuchel will have an unhappy player on the books.

          • Ian96

We will not be going back in for him. If we do, as I said Soton will complain to the premier league and we will be heavily fined. It’s no longer a option.

          • Brighton Red

What you say is right as things stand but I’m talking about different circumstances, ie if the player puts in a transfer request, Soton could say no and have an unhappy player or they could say to their fans ‘ we did all we could to keep him but ‘ they’d know that all potential buyers would know he wants to play for Klopp which would kill any bargaining between other clubs ~ I don’t know what will happen I just don’t think it’s done yet that’s all.

          • Ian96

Granted he can put in a transfer request and then Soton will sell, but if we go back for him then expect a hefty fine for the initial tapping up. Probably about £10 mil on top of the fee.
Personally I would love us to sign him, but as usual the knobs behind the scenes fucked up once again.

          • Brighton Red

yep don’t know how they cocked up when the world and his wife knew Soton wanted to sell him anyway.
For me Klopp wants VVD and FSG have to give him what he wants in this window and if they have to pay extra because they were too bloody stupid to show a bit of discretion then that is their problem. At the moment I am just about on board with FSG but if they don’t get him the player he wanted then I’ll believe they have engineered a situation where he couldn’t be signed and I’ll want them out ~ end of ~ but at the moment I think it’s all still on ~ it had better be anyway !!

          • Ian96

You said it all there my mate. If FSG wanted to splash the cash then VVD would not have been tapped up. We are heading for the same shite as we did in 2014. Champions league football with a squad incapable of succeeding. Cream the money and hope for the best. BOLLOCKS to that.

          • Brighton Red

Bollocks to that indeed, now big baps ~ I hear a rumour that says you like them ~ could this possibly be true ??

          • Ian96

That is a vicious rumour……………. I have no idea where that slanting of my character began………. But it’s all true😀

          • Brighton Red

perhaps you let the cat out of the bag, just like someone did at LFC with VVD ~ or maybe it was your counsellor ~ you know the one with huge melons …………………………………

          • Ian96

Haha, you are probably right mate 😆

          • MentalAndBookmarked

Comolli wanted us to buy him

          • Drewster

            Ask and ye shall receive…

          • Brighton Red

            I’m asking, I’m asking …………………………………

          • RobbieTheReindeer

we could make an online petition…

          • RobbieTheReindeer

not that it ever solved anything but if it went viral and auba saw it.. maybe BOOM

          • RobbieTheReindeer

i would jizz all over my computer screen if i read that come monday

          • Riiseandshine

            Sigh….I wish

          • gegenpressing

Somehow doubt that Klopp would go back for a player he already worked with (wouldn’t be fun for him) unless in an emergency or he couldn’t find anyone else…I’m probably wrong though…

          • Pierre Levert

If Aubame is an emergency let’s dial 999 or whatever the applicable code is right now.

          • Brighton Red

you doubt that Klopp would go for a player who guarantees goals and plenty of them and would be the perfect fit in his system simply because he’s worked with him before ~ I can confirm that you are wrong ~ google Subotic, he followed Klopp when he moved from Mainz to Dortmund in June 2008, I don’t know if there are any other players who have done so.

          • gegenpressing

Think Klopp’s fascination with players lies in how much he can improve them from when they came to him and with Auba, he would probably feel like he had done what he could. In emergency situations (such as if he can’t find another player he needs, late in the transfer window or in situations where the player had to leave him before his potential could be realized) then maybe. I don’t claim to have any amazing insights but Klopp strikes me as a guy that would rather take on a player that he feels like he can develop a lot further than someone who “guarantees” anything…Could be wrong but haven’t seen us linked with (m)any Dortmund players except for Pulisic (who Klopp left before he could work with him extensively) and Goetze (who left Klopp before his potential was fully realized)…

          • Brighton Red

I agree Klopp likes to develop players but not going back to his old club could also be because he respects them, the fans and club, and doesn’t want to do what Bayern do to them by cherry picking all their top talents but, like you, I don’t know either.
I’d say if Dortmund are prepared to sell Auba ( which I assume they are in view of his potential transfer to PSG ) and is available at a price LFC are prepared to pay I’d be surprised if he didn’t come as his goalscoring record over the last 3 years is as good as anyone, Mbappe’s might be better last season but is only one season and his consistency is not proven at present.

          • Ander Herrera The ScumDick

It cant be fake news. I had the same exact dream.
The only thing is that my bed is not wet like yours

          • Brighton Red

bugger ~ and I thought nobody knew !!

    • jolive

Not much point having Morata if the rest of his team-mates will be 50 yards away from him

      • RedNeve

        Yes! Didn’t think of that
        Feel better now.

  • 44yearsAfan

Good deal for the lad and im sure it will be money well spent, the signs are there that he can become a top player and getting him settled could aid him massively.

  • Ian96

Get him tied down, not in a perverted way, you understand 😀, get the deal done and move on to the business of signing new players that can transform the team for the coming season.

    • 44yearsAfan

Yeh yeh you say that but really would if ya could, he is a handsome fellow eh, haha

      • Ian96

If he grows a pair of baps I might be tempted 😋

        • 44yearsAfan

Baps, haha not heard that forever.

          • Ian96
          • 44yearsAfan

Dunno bout that, more than a handful is a waste i think, 😅

          • Ian96

            Nah mate, never a waste.
A mate of mine many years ago said the same coz his woman was flat chested and he said he didn’t like big baps, but on a night out he copped off with a woman with big baps and he couldn’t take his hands off of them. It just shows if one conditions the mind then one can convince themselves if what they are saying, until confronted with the reality of what they really feel.

          • 44yearsAfan

Yeh have had my share of both, prefer a nice handful and a kylie style butt, can i say that without repercussions ?

          • Ian96

Butts are good, legs are great too, but baps are my thing. Not all women have all three.

          • Stan Dinaround

I love big butts, I will not lie.

          • Ian96

Butts are good mate, but to get lost in a pair of baps and need a map to find ones way out is a challenge I adore.

          • 44yearsAfan

Now that has made me proper laugh out loud, Nice

          • Stan Dinaround

Lucky they have the nipple, or things could get mighty confusing and a tad messy.

          • Ian96

            Haha, very true

          • 44yearsAfan

I got the butt and legs and halfway house with the baps, shhhh she will fucking hear ya

          • Ian96

Haha, I will keep it down mate.
I have 2 out if 3. The baps n the butt, but the legs I never really see, to far down to travel.

          • 44yearsAfan

3 out of 3 between us then, top marks for us, haha
Edit : excursions from the butt are recommended as it makes them think you are researching everywhere not just the fun parts. Gives em a lift in the self esteem dept which in turn means more research and more fun, 😆

          • Stan Dinaround

We all say it, but no one truly believes it.

          • 44yearsAfan

            Haha, good response stan, 👌

          • Pierre Levert

See what I mean about beach volleyball?

          • Ian96

            Yep, ya can’t beat it.

  • Saravana Kumar

Get it done fast… we need a proper big squad next season….

  • SirLEoAnfieldHeart

AHHH the fabled Will Hughes, wasn’t he like the next Steven Gerrard?

  • Ash

£100k a week is nothing these days.

I’d gladly give him that amount. Didn’t Lovren get something similar anyway and we all expected him to be on the bench next season.
