Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is interested in bringing Fiorentina’s Federico Chiesa to Anfield, according to Corriere dello Sport.
The son of the well-known Enrico Chiesa is a versatile player. Mostly a winger, he can play as a No. 10 or 8 as well. He seems like a player capable of filling all the roles once performed by Philippe Coutinho, though at the age of just 20, he has a long way to go before he reaches the level of the Brazilian.
Chiesa has played 31 Serie A games for the Viola this season, scoring 6 goals and adding three assists to the table.
The report claims the Italian club are aware of Liverpool’s interest and have slapped a €50 million price-tag on him. If Klopp really wants a player, it’s hard to imagine that sum getting in the way of a deal being done, while there’s every logic such a player would be on the German’s radar.
