The 18-year-old was largely unknown to many Liverpool supporters prior to this summer, but the central midfielder has made a big name for himself under Jurgen Klopp during pre-season.

Ejaria featured in the friendlies prior to Liverpool heading out to the USA for their tour, but his really eye-catching performance came in the 1-0 defeat to Chelsea.

Ejaria was possibly Liverpool’s best performer that night, but unfortunately the Liverpool Echoreports that he is set to miss the last leg of the tour against AS Roma on Tuesday with a groin injury.

The news will be a cruel blow to Ejaria and Klopp, but the aforementioned report does reveal that scans are still being conducted to determine the seriousness of the injury.

Recent reports revealed that Ejaria is expected to be called up to face Tanzania in the AFCON qualifier in September for Nigeria, provided he pledges his allegiance to the nation.

Ejaria, who joined Liverpool from Arsenal in the summer of 2014, will be hoping to bounce back as soon as possible from his current setback this summer.

    1. Karius is the only main upset. Matip will likely be back before the season starts I think. Grujic playing today as well.
