Loris Karius confirms “successful surgery” on hand

Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius has undergone “successful surgery” after breaking his hand in pre-season.

The player signed for Liverpool in May from Mainz, and was expected to challenge Simon Mignolet for the No.1 position before picking up the injury during a game in July.

But he has been keeping fans updated with his recovery via social media and although he is still unable to use his right wrist, Karius has been practising saves with his left and building muscle in the gym.
