After a long and tireless effort, Liverpool have reached an agreement with Lyon about the signing of Nabil Fekir.
So, the news we’ve all been waiting for finally arrives. Paul Joyce and Melissa Reddy both say that the deal should be done on Friday; the medical, the signing, the confirmation.

It looks like Liverpool really mean business this time. Only a fortnight ago we dreamed of a couple of quality midfield additions beside Naby Keita. First Fabinho, and now Fekir too. Strap yourselves in, ladies and gents.

It seems the determination of Jean-Michel Aulas to hold the player until the World Cup is over has wavered in light of Fekir’s explicit desire to join Liverpool destroying his hopes of a bidding war, as well as the probability of the attacking midfielder not being a regular starter for France at the tournament in Russia possibly affecting his market value in a way he wouldn’t like.
