Ousmane Dembele could don the Red shirt, albeit on a temporary basis.
The French winger has struggled since his arrival at Camp Nou, with injury hampering him. It is now claimed by Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo that the Reds are looking to recruit Dembele. However for a permanent deal to happen, Salah would’ve to leave the club. The club would also have to gurantee a starting place for Dembele.
That being said, Klopp wants to strengthen his attacking options this summer and rates the Dembele highly. As a result, he’s determined to bring the player to Anfield, even if it’s on a temporary basis. With the possibility of Griezmann joining the Catalonians and therefore further limiting the winger’s chances, talks between Liverpool and the player’s agent could happen.
However, the Reds may have to compete with Arsenal, who like them are keen on signing the youngster on loan.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are looking to recruit a new goalkeeper this summer, with Karius and Mignolet deemed not up to standard. As a result, Liverpool could look to bring in Dembele’s team mate Cillessen. With a reported release clause of €60 million, it’s way lower than Roma’s asking price of £70 million for Alisson.
Negotiations have reportedly begun between the agent and Liverpool, with Liverpool expressing their desire to sign the 29 year old.
