Ojo Signs New Deal and Heads on Loan

Liverpool have confirmed Sheyi Ojo has signed a new deal with the club and completed a loan move to Stade de Reims.

The interest from the French club and the negotiations between the parties have already been reported before. Ojo has now committed his long-term future to the club and departed for France in search of valuable top-flight experience.

Despite his notable outings in pre-season this summer, it is questionable whether he would get any game-time at all in the first team with the arrival of Xherdan Shaqiri and the presence of a fit Daniel Sturridge.

There was interest from Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion, but both the club and the player have judged Ojo’s interests would be better served at Reims, having already played in the Championship with Wigan Athletic, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Fulham.
