This misfortune couldn’t have come at a worse time as the 19-year-old goalkeeper was set to make the squad for the Premier League clash against Spurs on Saturday as Simon Mignolet pulled out of international duty with a finger sprain.

This could possibly open the door for Kamil Grabara to make the bench at Wembley, but the club are hopeful the experienced Belgian will still recover in time.

Speaking about Spurs, manager Mauricio Pochettino will be without the services of goalkeeper Hugo Lloris as well as midfielder Dele Alli, who has suffered a hamstring injury on international duty and will be a doubt even for their Champions League clash with Inter Milan next week. Moussa Sissoko is also out, as is Juan Foyth.

Liverpool will be without Dejan Lovren, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and most likely Adam Lallana.
