After days of speculation over whether Mohamed Salah would play for Egypt, their national team manager Javier Aguirre has confirmed at a press conference held earlier that the winger will play against Swaziland later today.
He went on to say:
“Salah is fit and not suffering from anything and will and can play. He’s a really important player for our National team and he was brilliant against Niger in their previous game scoring two goals”.
Egypt will play again on Tuesday in Manzini as part of the qualifying matches for the’ African Nations Cup’
Salah also confirmed that he is ready to play today via his Instagram & Twitter accounts.

Rumour had been rife over whether the Egyptian would even play for his team, as it was said Liverpool FC had requested that Salah be rested from the game due to his shoulder ligament injury, which he sustained whilst playing in the Champions League final in May when tackled to the ground by Sergio Ramos.
Even though his shoulder is rumoured to be still strapped up during games, the Egyptian manager has rubbished any injury claims and put the matter to bed.
For Egyptian fans this is the news they were waiting in anticipation to hear. Meanwhile, back at Liverpool, the fans would have been more than content for Salah to have sat these games out.
Mo has looked tired lately and his form is slightly off so resting him may have been a bonus for him and for us, but at the same time it’s refreshing news to hear that all is okay with our ‘Egyptian king’.
Good luck tonight Mo, and whatever happens over the next two matches, just please, come back in one piece.
