This week I’m going to take a look at player’s who’d improve our team. I’ll give some insight into each player and rate them out of 10. The ratings will be based on the probability of them signing for Liverpool and the potential of each player.
We’ve been here before on numerous occasions talking about this player, but in recent days the club’s president, Jean-Michel Aulas has given the player an ultimatum, the player has a big decision to make with 18 months to run on his current deal come January, Aulus said,
“For the moment, we have not really had a real discussion, even if we met three weeks ago.
“The sorting out of various things concerning who the agent is, is ongoing. The aim, is to have a clear and precise position from his point of view between now and the end of the year.
“Jean-Pierre Barnès is still his agent but he cannot be so at the end of the player’s contract.”
If Nabil doesn’t put pen to paper come January, it could put him in the shop window. Lyon, know that his value will decrease in the summer, and they could potentially lose him to a free-transfer.
I’m rating this one: 9 out of 10. I’d love us to sign Nabil, he wanted to sign for us before, and I’m sure if we went in for him again, he’d jump at the opportunity to sign. The player excites me, and I’m sure most Liverpool fans would want him to sign too.
This is another player with only 18 months to run on his contract, again he refused to sign a new deal. We’ve a good chance of agreeing a deal to sign this lad in the winter window. With him staying with Borussia Dortmund until the summer. Similar to the Naby Keita deal, it would be an amazing coup, if we could pull it off. At only 19-years-old the United States international, has so much experience, and is one for the future. He represents great value on and off the field. Liverpool want to break the American market, and why not sign their most talented player in-years. In recent day’s former United States international Alexi Lalas said,
“There are teams all over the world that would love to have Christian Pulisic right now.
“I think he’s done a great job in going over to Germany, he’s done a great job at Borussia Dortmund.
“But I think it’s time for a change right now for Christian Pulisic, and a change to an even higher profile team.”
This player has the potential for become World Class, and Jürgen Klopp has been a big admirer of his. So the chances of Liverpool been in the mix for this player are very high.
I’m rating this one: 10 out of 10. It gets a 10 because I can see him at Liverpool, I just hope he doesn’t decide to go to, Chelsea or Man United, the latter whom he followed as a child. So fingers crossed he picks us.
I want us to sign this player so badly, with Gomez getting injured recently (Out for 6 weeks). Wouldn’t it be great to be able to team him up with his International colleague, Big Virgil. Our defence has been brilliant this season (Best in the League only conceding 6 in 16 matches), but how well would we cope without Virgil Van Dijk? I dread to think! So that’s the reason this transfer makes perfect sense. Our defence would be solidified for years to come. At only 19-years-old, he’s still relatively young. To think he’s only going to get better, this is a no-brainer to say the least. Van Dijk, has recently said in an interview to James Pearce, that Matthijs is on Liverpool radar, he said,
“They will pay less for Matthijs than they paid for me!
“A good defender, good boy, calm, knows what he wants and hopefully he makes the right choice in his next step.
“If they need my opinion at Liverpool, I’ll give it.”
Rumours have it, that Barcelona are looking to sign the Dutch defender, I just hope that we’re in the mix to sign him, as Virgil could convince the young lad to sign for us.
I’m rating this one: 9 out of 10. It gets a 9, because Barcelona have a big history of signing Dutch players and they seem to be keen on this player, otherwise it would be a 10, hopefully we decide to play our trump card (his team mate and friend).
We’re short on cover for the Right-back position, Nathaniel Clyne has gone off the boil, and Jürgen Klopp doesn’t always show his faith in young Trent Alexander-Arnold. The 26-year-old French International who plys his trade in French League with Monaco, is a no nonsense defender, strong, quick, and an ability similar to Trent to get forward. I think he’d suit Liverpool’s style of play and would improve our starting line-up. I’m not sure if Monaco would sell him in the winter transfer window, but I’m sure if we wanted him, a deal could be struck in the summer. Monaco are a selling club, and I can’t see that change in the near future.
I’m rating this one: 9 out of 10. I think we should strengthen our defence, but Jürgen might be happy to improve what we already have. There’s no doubt that Trent has the ability to improve his defensive game, but I think eventually he’ll be moved into a more advanced role.
We’ve been linked with this player on numerous occasions, the Spanish International’s stats haven’t been brilliant this season, hence the reason rumours have arose that Real Madrid are looking to cash in on their 22-year-old play-maker. Marco, who plays attacking-mid or as a winger. The player has distanced himself from a move away from the Bernabeu, He said,
“This is my third season. In this one I think I have continued and more prominence, and I’m seeing (improvement in) the performances I’m doing.”
I think we could be priced out of a move for this player, but if Real Madrid could lower their £100 million valuation for the player, then why not put a bid in for him. He’s a great player with loads of potential, and he just needs the right manager to nurture his talents.
I’m rating this one: 8 out of 10. I don’t think Real Madrid will want to part ways with this talented player. But I’d love to see a player of his quality sign for us.
The 21-year-old Danish International plys his trade with Ajax, he’s been scouted by all the top clubs across Europe this season, and Jürgen Klopp, has had an admiration for this young lad as far back as the 2016/17 season. Back then after an interview with Sky Sports, he said,
“Fantastic player with a great future.
“Who doesn’t know Kasper Dolberg? You can’t play at Ajax without being noticed.
“Kasper Dolberg has a very great future. He is a fantastic player.
“I love Danish players. I had Leon Andreasen at Mainz, he was a monster. I also have fond memories of Bo Svensson. And Mohamed Zidan – he is probably half Danish, because his wife is Danish!
“But it’s not that they are Danes, it is all about their qualities.”
Kasper, plays as a Centre-forward, and would be a great back-up to compete with Roberto Firmino. With Daniel Sturridge’s contract up in the summer, it makes sense to make a move.
I’m rating this one: 8 out of 10. This player can become a great player over time, he’s the type of striker who likes to play on the shoulder of the last man. So he’d be different in that way to Roberto Firmino.
