Ben Woodburn returns to Liverpool
After joining Sheffield United on loan in the summer, Woodburn has cut his time there short and returned to Liverpool five months earlier than was planned, according to Goal.com. The Welsh international struggled to stake his claim in the first team from day one and has been restricted to a few minutes of first team football.
Woodburn has come back to Liverpool to play for the U23s so that he is not deprived of football. The 19 year old made 7 appearances at Sheffield with only 1 as these being in the starting 11. These 7 appearances accumulated to a minuscule 156 minutes of first team football.
It is unlikely Liverpool’s youngest ever goalscorer will stay at the club, with Liverpool currently considering some loan offers for the youngster. Woodburn’s suitors consist of Brentford, Hull City and Blackburn Rovers, as Liverpool search for him to get some valuable first team experience.
