Liverpool are set to ask for a fee of £12 million for the 21-year-old striker, despite the fact he has scored only once in 27 appearances for the Reds.

Solanke hasn’t played at all this season. With Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah alternating in the striker role while Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi provide quite enough cover, the youngster isn’t likely to appear in a Red shirt at all this season.

There have been discussions with Crystal Palace over a potential loan deal, but the Eagles expressed concerns about his fitness level and have now moved on to other targets. Brighton, meanwhile, want a permanent deal, and Liverpool are set to ask for a fee of £12 million for the 21-year-old striker, despite the fact he has scored only once in 27 appearances for the Reds.
