Inject That Result into My Veins, I Bleed Liverpool Red

Liverpool 3 Southampton 1.

Mo, Naby and Hendo score.

Still pumped after last night.

Well folks what did we make of that? Winning a very tough away to Southampton and all the boys who scored rightly deserved to. I’m still giddy and I’m loving every minute, every second of this season. FIVE GAMES REMAINING, that’s right FIVE!

So Tuesday night we have a home game against FC Porto and I hope the crowd brings the noise. Porto won’t be a walk in the park considering they are sitting atop of the Primeira Liga and have won four and lost one in their last five in the league, there will also be abit of an incentive of the players to make up for last year’s results against us.

We will however be in a supreme state of Zen ourselves considering we’ve won four and drawn one in our last five, our beloved Egyptian king has scored again and we know how much problems we caused the backline last year. I would love to see a similar performance against Porto this Tuesday as the one against Bayern Munich in the last round in the sense that we keep a clean sheet and then have the upper hand in the away fixture.

Then tomorrow week we face a Chelsea side who sit in fifth and have a record of three wins, a loss and a draw in their last five. The London club’s lack of panache this season sees them sit nineteen points behind Liverpool and their fan base have been critical of manager Maurizio Sarri in recent weeks due to his. The most recent “Sarri Out” chant was last Sunday because of his decision to snub Callum Hudson-Odoi.

I think we’re in a great position at the moment in terms of mentality, we are grinding out the gritty games when we need to and we know in our heads that if we take each game at a time the faith of this season is in our hands. Did I mention that Mo scored? If I was the lads id be thinking “f**k yes he’s scoring again” and if I were opposition id be thinking “oh fuck he’s scoring again”.

Anyway happy weekend folks, I hope you’ll have a good one and remember:
