Three Players Klopp May Look To Sign This Summer
With a second place finish with 97 points in the Premier League and a Champions League final against Spurs to look forward to, Jurgen Klopp would be forgiven for sticking with the squad he has for next season as he clearly has a group of players who are capable of special things.
The German though, has been very good at identifying where he can improve his team further in the transfer windows, most notably with the additions of Alisson and Virgin van Dijk, therefore, we can expect him to do the same again this summer.
Here are three players who may be on Klopp’s radar.
Liverpool were linked with Bayer Levekusen winger Julian Brandt last summer and he has been hotly tipped once again to move to Merseyside. The 24-year-old has played over 200 games for the Bundesliga side since making his debut for them in 2014. He is now a regular with the German national team and has a reputation which is growing all the time.

If the reports about his release cause being £21.5 million are true, Liverpool wouldn’t have to break the bank to secure the player. Reports such as this, suggest Adam Lallana, Nathanial Clyne and Harry Wilson are all expected to leave over the next few months and some of that money could be used on securing Brandt.
When Philippe Coutinho left Anfield to join Barcelona in January 2018, Liverpool fans were devastated about losing the Brazilian. Since then though, Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firminho have all shined as a front three to soften the blow.
After beating Barcelona in the semi-final of the Champions League, Liverpool have been tipped up at Betfair to lift the trophy next month. That success may just persuade Coutinho to come back to Anfield as the Reds are now one of the biggest powerhouses in Europe and could be his best chance of winning the Champions League in the future.
The transfer fee Barcelona would demand for Coutinho would obviously be high but Manchester City are sure to strengthen this summer so Klopp could stress how important this transfer would be to their chances of winning the league next season.
Frenchman Adrian Rabiot is set to leave PSG on a free transfer at the end of the season when his contract with the Ligue 1 club expires. The following article suggests Rabiot has already received offers from around Europe and Liverpool could add their proposal on the table too.
Klopp may look at his midfield as the area he wants to add to this summer and Rabiot is likely to offer him something he doesn’t already have. The France international has a wealth of experience at the highest level and although he weekly wage demands are likely to be high, he would not cost them a penny.
Rabiot has been a regular starter for PSG for a number of years, however, he is only 24-years-old so his best football could still be ahead of him.
The transfer window is now officially open in England so it will be interesting to see how long Klopp waits to make his first move.
