Pre-Season Plans Announced
It has been public knowledge to most Liverpool fans that The Reds would make the annual trip to the US to partake in 3 games at the back end of July. Sevilla, Sporting Lisbon and Borussia Dortmund make up the 3 teams that Liverpool will face on their tour of the USA.
The Liverpool ECHO had also announced plans that Liverpool had contacted Napoli over the possibility of meeting in a preseason friendly against Napoli at Spurs’ impressive new stadium. However, after the Champions League victory over Spurs, these plans have been deemed inappropriate and the new setting for this tie is rumoured to be Murrayfield in Edinburgh.
Earlier today, James Pearce announced that the Reds would play their annual preseason friendly with Tranmere Rovers at Prenton Park on the 11th of July. Big crowds will be expected for this local tie after the Rovers have just achieved back-to-back promotions meaning they will be playing their football in League One next season.

The Reds will play another preseason game in the UK, before they jet off to the USA, against Bradford City. This game is scheduled for the 14th of July.
Also, with a preseason training camp in France planned after the tour of the US, Klopp’s men will be going over the Swiss border to play in nearby Geneve against Ligue 1 giants Lyon. A game before the start of the season is also expected to be played at Anfield but details of this fixture are yet to be confirmed.
Silverware is also going to be up for grabs with Liverpool set to play against Chelsea in the UEFA Super Cup and in the Community Shield against Manchester City.
