Brewster and Kelleher set to leave on loan

Rhian Brewster and Caoimhin Kelleher are likely to leave on loan for the second half of the season with the club open to offers, according to Liverpool Echo.

Brewster stayed at the club and with the first team after the summer. However, the usual front three have been shining and Divock Origi is proving a capable backup, and now Xherdan Shaqiri is back from the calf injury that’s been keeping him out for a long time too. Brewster’s chances of first-team minutes would be significantly reduced at Anfield, and manager Jurgen Klopp is eager to make sure he gets plenty of game time.

To that end, the boss will be insisting that a clause determining the minimum amount of game-time is inserted in any deal that might be agreed in January. Crystal Palace, Aston Villa and Swansea City are all interested in his services.

Kelleher finds himself in a similar situation, being firmly behind Alisson Becker and Adrian in the pecking order.
