Liverpool allowed to wear Club World Cup badge in the Premier League – for one game
Liverpool will be able to wear the FIFA gold badge which marks the team holding the Club World Cup trophy in the Champions League, but Premier League rules state that teams wanting to wear such distinctive marks on their shirts should seek permission first. Liverpool have done so, and the response is – they can wear it, but for just one game, according to Chris Bascombe of The Telegraph, and that game is the the last one this year, against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday at Anfield.
The badge is 78 millimetres by 57 millimetres in size and prominent on the jersey, and is described as ‘prestigious symbol of the achievement of becoming world champions’.
However, it still remains to be seen whether the special kit containing the badge will be ready in time for the match on Sunday.
